The DCC (Dynamic Currency Converter) automatic foreign exchange converter introduced by Telekurs last spring for international credit and debit cardholders is proving very popular, especially amongst the catering and hotel trade. DCC automatically converts all VISA, MasterCard and Maestro payments made at the terminal into all major currencies within a split second. This process also results in a number of cost benefits (reduction in the commission) and the foreign exchange risk is eliminated.

Thus with the latest EMV/ep2 payment terminals, Telekurs davinci and smash, DCC takes account of the need for easy, secure and user-friendly payment by supporting all required and trade-specific functionalities (reservations, credit vouchers etc.). A new feature is full integration in the Fidelio hotel reservation system. In working closely with the leading cash register manufacturers, Telekurs has come up with an appropriate solution. It is on view for the first time at the IGEHO. All card-based payments are conducted via the hotel check-out system, bringing huge benefits for guests: They receive a single bill for all services taken advantage of in the different hotel bars, restaurants and shops, which thanks to DCC, can then be converted into their local currency, if they so wish. At the same time, considerable pressure is taken off the hotel administration.
