Around 95% of the euro payments from Switzerland to EU/EEA countries going through the Swiss interbank payment system euroSIC are processed with IBAN and BIC. This high STP rate is due to the Swiss financial center's adoption of the European Payments Council's (EPC) IBAN/BIC resolution, which is pursuing the creation of a single euro payments area (SEPA) in Europe.
