Poised to step into the future thanks to EMV chip technology. The new chip technology makes cashless paying with credit cards, debit cards and customer cards at the point of sales more convenient, faster and more reliable and customer-friendlier.



The handling of payments through the EMV chip requires EFT/POS devices which meet the latest ep2 specifications (hardware and software). This standard was defined and implemented by the “Verband Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr” (VEZ) together with the Swiss card processors. Newer terminal models can be partially retrofitted. However, older terminals must be replaced.
